As social distancing guidelines and mask-wearing rules are established in New York City, NYGL's director of community engagement, Khunsa Amin, brainstorms ways to engage in mutual aid with the team's surrounding community. Through digital organizing and using the platform of NYGL, Khunsa is able to raise thousands in funds for the #FreeBlackMamas campaign during the month of May.
