In the 1980s, several women ultimate frisbee players left the male-dominated teams of the day to form their own team, Survival, and play their own way, practicing at night on dirt fields covered in broken glass and traveling far to play other women's teams simply for a love of the game. 30 years later, these players return to New York City to witness the first game of professional womxn's ultimate in a watershed moment for gender equity in the sport.
